Wishing

I am linking to Jenny Matlock's Saturday Centus.

So.

There i stood. Wet. Cold.

Waiting.

For what?

Who knows.

But, it seems i'm always standing, waiting,  in the wet cold whenever i wake up from one of those
"it was a dark and stormy night" dreams.

Just once i wish i would wake up standing, waiting, in the bright warm sunshine from a
"it was a warm sunny day" dream.

So.

There i stood.  Very hot. Sweating. Burning. On fire!

Waiting.

For what?

One of those "it was a dark and stormy night" dreams.

Will i never learn?

Be careful what you wish for!

  2. Warm and sunny is always better than dark and stormy .. but much more elusive.

  3. Ha! Loved it. Why can't we be grateful for what we have at the time. Those "dark and stormy night" dreams have plenty to teach us!

  6. OK, for a minute there I thought you were talking about being in menopause...

    BUT...

Then I looked at your avatar and realized you aren't old enough...

    SO...

Now I feel all shallow and silly ...

    AND...

I had to re-read it so I could tell you what a great job you did coming up with this creative little story.

    Thank you for linking.

  11. This was a clever take on the prompt! I really enjoyed this, but I'm with Jenny. It certainly sounds like a metaphor for menopause :)
